The former World No. 1 ranked Maria Sharapova has been listed one of the most valuable sports brand ambassador by the Forbes Magazine in 2011 season.
The World No. 2 ranked Maria Sharapova has renewed her contract with Nike for eight years deal for $70 million, where she has become the most valuable deal ever for a sportswoman’s record and surpassed American Venus Williams $43 million deal with Reebok. The Russian beauty has been named as one of the World’s 10 Most Valuable Sports Team Brands in 2011.
Forbes has announced that, Sharapova’s brand
name will cost $ 9million, where she is only top tennis player from WTA. The Forbes Magazine also listed Maria Sharapova is the highest earning female athlete in the world and she is also represented by Eisenbud for $25 million from prize money and endorsements for one year. The World No. 1 ranked Caroline Wozniacki has been named second place in the list with earning $12.5 million and 2011 French Open champion Li Na stands at 8th place with $8 million.
The 24-year-old Sharapova endorsement collection includes like top brands Nike, Head Clear Shampoo, Sony Ericsson, Tiffany, Evian and Tag Heuer. Sharapova, who has not won a single Grand Slam title, since 2008, but she has become top earned female athlete for the 7th consecutive year.
